Robotic Waterjet System Clears Final Tests, Set for Shipment

Under a clear blue sky, loading crews at our facility are busy securing a massive robotic waterjet cutting system into a specialized shipping container. The machine, wrapped in protective plastic and steel bracing, marks the latest delivery in our company’s expanding automation portfolio.

The fully assembled unit completed a rigorous 72-hour factory acceptance test earlier this week, with engineers verifying cutting precision, axis movement, and high-pressure pump stability. All performance metrics exceeded specification, and the system is now certified ready for customer installation.

This waterjet robot is purpose-built for automotive interior trimming. Its advanced six-axis arm and ultra-high-pressure waterjet can cut complex contours in soft trim, headliners, carpeting, and composite door panels with zero heat-affected zones—eliminating frayed edges and secondary finishing. The system also features a user-friendly offline programming interface, allowing rapid changeover between different vehicle model patterns.

“We’ve seen growing demand from Tier 1 suppliers who need flexible, dust-free cutting for premium cabin materials,” said our operations manager on-site. “This unit delivers consistent edge quality at production-line speeds.”

The container will depart the port by week’s end, with our technical team scheduled to oversee installation and commissioning at the client’s plant in early October. A second unit is already in pre-production for a European luxury automaker.
