Precautions during water jet cutting

Water jet cutting is a kind of metal cutting with ultra-high pressure water jet as the medium. Its strong cutting ability and cutting adaptability are the main aspects to attract consumers. You should know that water jet cutting is also a process without thermal effect, which will not produce deformation, but also can obtain a smooth cutting surface.

As an ultra-high pressure equipment, the water jet cutter is strictly sealed and protected against high pressure for safety. However, in the actual application process, the operator must also keep in mind the details of safe use to avoid faults and other undesirable phenomena.

The cutting process of water jet cutter mainly depends on the movement of the CNC cantilever or gantry to drive the movement of the cutting head. Therefore, do not close to the CNC cantilever to avoid accidental injury. Similarly, around the cantilever of the water jet cutter, the presence of interfering substances should be avoided, which will affect the cutting quality.

For the whole water jet cutter, the water jet cutter head is the outlet of high-pressure water, and it is the part that directly acts with the material during cutting. Therefore, the cutting material must be placed flat, otherwise the cutting sand pipe is easily damaged, which may lead to leakage of high-pressure water and personal injury in serious cases.

When the water jet cutter is finished, remember to turn off the high-pressure water switch or turn off the high-pressure water switch before reclaiming. Especially in case of emergency power failure, the high-pressure water will remain in the high-pressure system. Once the power is on, the residual high-pressure water will spray out, so don't go near the cutting head at this time. After reconnecting the power supply of the water jet, remove the residual high-pressure water before normal operation.

The high-pressure pipe and supercharger are also very critical devices for the water jet, but they are also vulnerable parts, which are easy to cause leakage of high-pressure water. Therefore, replace its sealing components at regular intervals according to the instructions for use. At the same time, selecting a reasonable water cutting mode is also the basis to ensure the smooth completion of the water jet cutting process.
